Nursery opens
Soft arrivals at the door, welcomed by a familiar key worker, never handed off to a stranger.
Small key-worker groups. Qualified, long-serving staff. A warm, secure home-from-home where your child is known by name, and so are you.
Based in Plumstead, SE18.

"Our daughter literally runs in every morning. That tells us everything."
Aisha, parent
Most of our practitioners have been with us 5+ years. Your child's key worker won't change every term.
1:3 for babies, 1:4 for toddlers, 1:8 for pre-school. Meeting and exceeding statutory ratios every day.
Security code access at every door, CCTV throughout, signed handover for every child. We know who is in the building, always.
A photo, a note, a moment. Sent through our TeachKloud app, never a copy-paste 'had a lovely day'.
No rigid schedules. Just a gentle rhythm that babies and children come to know and love.

Soft arrivals at the door, welcomed by a familiar key worker, never handed off to a stranger.

Freshly prepared breakfast served family-style, settling each child gently into the day.

Adult-led learning moments: language, early maths, sensory play, music and mark-making.

Fresh fruit, vegetables and wholegrains. Allergens managed individually for every child.

Children choose: indoor rooms or our enclosed garden, rain or shine, spare wellies for all.

Hot meal cooked on-site by our chef. Toddler portions, real cutlery, no rushing.

Quiet, bright sleep room with individual cot or mat. Older children enjoy calm activities.

Another snack, then a second focus session: art, stories, small-group projects.

A warm light tea: sandwiches, fruit and vegetables, served before the wind-down begins.

More garden or room-based play, with families collecting at their own pace.

Books, soft music, cuddles and unwinding in our cosy reading corner.

A handover in person, your child's day shared with you, never just "had a good day".

Our team is the heart of Futures. A close-knit group of warm, qualified women who have chosen early years as a calling, not a stepping stone. Many have grown up here with us, watching cohorts of children move from baby room to pre-school and on to big school.
Together we hold Level 3 and Level 4 Early Years qualifications, paediatric first aid, safeguarding, SEND and food hygiene certifications, and we keep training all year round. But what your child will feel first is patience, gentleness, and genuine love for what we do.
"My son started in the Magnolia room and recently moved to the Willow, so he got to experience both of them and both of the key workers working in those rooms and all of them have been amazing. He is really well looked after and he loves everybody. Whenever I had any enquiries or any requests about him they were rapidly answered and actioned. I can't recommend Futures nursery enough."
"As a dad, I've had both of my kids at Futures Nursery in Plumstead pretty much from birth, attending full-time from 7am to 7pm for four years, and I couldn't be more impressed. From day one, the team, including amazing staff like Kirsty, have made our family feel completely at home."
"I would recommend Futures to all of my close friends. My little girl started nursery at 7 months and I could have not been happier. The team is amazing, Jade, Lauren, Kirsty, and all of the other team members. They are patient, caring and dedicated. My child has progressed amazingly in the past few months, all thanks to them. The nursery is perfectly set-up for little babies (only a few of them in the room and everything is tracked on an app)."
"Our daughter went to Futures nursery for 4 years and really enjoyed her time there. She speaks proudly and fondly of the staff and has made great memories for her early years. The nursery is clean and the staff are friendly. The food menu is extremely varied for a nursery facility. After 4 years it felt that Futures was a second family. We were sad to say goodbye as she left for school but excited our second child will attend Futures."
